Ship lap behind the range...

Hi, I am wondering about the ship lap behind the range. Isn't it flammable? Did you use cement board or somthing? Thanks!

Sorry for the delayed response. Correct. Shiplap is considered combustible and shouldn't be used near/behind ranges. Options like cement board, hardiboard/hardiplank, and other non-combustible options can give the look of shiplap without the hazard.

I am considering the hardiplank backsplash but am wondering if I can cover over my existing tile with the hardiplank. We are looking for a backsplash update that won't require us to remove current tile, and I really like this look.

Hi! we are considering a similar mantle above our range. Could you please tell me the range hood vent model?
