Comments (4)I hate that seating arrangement it is terrible for conversation. I think you should create 2 separate but coordinating possibly even matching areas. This will give the illusion of more space. use one as the TV area....See MoreNeed Design Ideas - Crowd Designing, anyone????
Comments (13)Dear Mr. Maverick, Hope you are doing great. Seeing at your post its very clear that you are a passionate person and taking your designing process seriously. Also you are accepting that you are not a designer yourself which is a good gesture against those clients who think themselves superior when it comes to design choices but knows nothing in real. I agree with above replies to share some information about your house starting with the floor plans as without these no one would be able to help you in any way. Also you need to understand that designing is a subjective and time consuming process and doesn't happen in an instant. If its just about getting ideas then you can find millions on google search. But being on Houzz platform is a great thing as its full of many talented professionals contributing to the solutions best way possible. I hereby offer my services and request you to go thru my profile and works and see if it interests you. I can show more interesting works if you insist. Let me know for further more as i am offering my services remotely as well including couple projects in Ireland. Best Regards, - Ar. Comments (13)Hi Sarita, We would suggest three options - 1] You may place your sofas parallel and opposite to each other leaving the space in between to access the balcony. Not the best facilitation but it will give you an unobstructed space. Or you may place an L shaped sofa in front of the balcony door but leave space between the two for passage. This will help bring the sofa closer to the tv and leave you with easy access to the balcony. You can also put the tv unit on the left wall with a set of sofas in front. 2] Put a partition between the living and dining space that would house the tv unit on one side and the dining table on the other. This will screen the dining area and allow you to place your sofa(s) more flexibly and without obstructing the balcony. It would however make the dining area look a bit cramped. 3] Avoid putting the tv unit in the living space altogether. Put tv in your bedrooms instead. This will ensure privacy to the viewers even when there are guests over. You may also convert a bedroom into a tv room if you don't need it so that your formal and informal spaces stay separate. Hope these ideas help. Regards, RnD Atelier Nagpur...See MoreCornerstone Design Studio India
