I currently have the same problem! I wanted that but the tiler didn't do it. I saw it after the shower was finished tiling (when I got home from work). They told me it was too difficult to cut the porcelain tile in a triangle shape and install. I did some research and I can't find a product that can hold weight, even if it is just to shave my leg! I suppose I should have had a triangle corner with a base (that wasn't floating) but I think it is too late. Hopefully someone can tell both of us a better answer. Just realize this was posted July 2014....... where you able to solve the problem??????

Potted plants and bench seating might work. You could put step stones with a ground cover that will spread in between. Your local nursery should be able to help you decide what would work best on something like that.

Hi Satya, Guessing the work is almost complete, and you cannot make any changes to the architectural plans. In that case, a good design will save you from many challenges. For example in the dining room, which is your main area of concern, place a smaller 6 seater with two seats at the end of the table , or use materials like glass top with a slim wooden base and use light chairs . A neutral light colour will enhance the lighting and make the room visually larger, specially since you have a large window. Also think of using bench seating on the side which is narrower . If the structure is not complete, think of pushing out the bay window to the outer wall and enhancing the space inside for a larger dining room . A balcony might need not be as necessary as a good dining area which is not claustrophobic. Thanks, Smitha

The red brick wall as a backdrop sounds very interesting. You can get quirky posters of various liquor brands like Jack Daniels, Chivas etc in black and white and get it framed and put them on the wall. Also industrial look is very in so the bar top can be done using a copper sheet over a plywood top instead of traditional granite or marble. Also utilise any empty beer bottles or wine bottles to make a customised chandelier. For stools you could have wrought iron stools with leather seats matching the brick wall. A small wall shelf with a display of shot glasses will make the look more interesting. Hope this is helpful, it will be great if you can share pictures of the area to give some more inputs.
