marble flooring or granite?
Comments (3)When I lived in the Middle East we had marble floors. The advantages were they kept very cool. They were really nice looking. Large slabs of marble, not marble tiles. Sleek and modern. We only had one swamp cooler so it was important that heat not be trapped in the house. We had very deep eaves to block the sun, and white marble inside and outside to reflect the sun back. The disadvantage is they stain more easily than granite or tile. But this was not a problem, really, as they were cleaned frequently. Also, they are very hard. We had rugs in the seating areas but still, marble floors hurt if you fall on them. But then that is the same with any stone, tile, or even hardwoods. Good luck!...See MoreTerracotta tiles durability
Comments (1)It's very user friendly.. But doesn't take too much load.. Like cars etc.. Other wise and 3xcelent flooring choice and cheap. But a box or 2 extra and use it when they break.. But over all a good material for rustic.. At the same time u can look at stones in the same range.. Like sadarahalli..or kadapa stone.. Kota stone...See MoreFloor tiles - Athangudi

Comments (2)Hey Erica! How about something like this? This Sea Salt by Sherwin Williams, for a beachy vibe, go with the lightest of oak or perhaps a tile similar to the one in the picture. Honestly I love a good slate Gray for tiles as well, but that's a statement look which cannot stand on its own. the earthiness of s the slate Gray or terracotta needs to complimented through the rest of the home! for paint colours, you could also take a look at Antique Glass from Benjamin Moore for a darker shade or Ocean spray from the green spectrum of BM...See More- 7 years ago
