I am adding onto my kitchen and living space and they will be open to one another with just a 7 foot beverage bar separating the two. I want to keep my ceiling what it currently is in my kitchen because of lighting over the island, however I have an option to vault or do a cathedral ceiling in the new area (about 12 feet out) in my living room. I will be putting in bookshelves around tv area also. I'm not sure how that will look. Should I just keep ceiling the same height all over or go for the cathedral ceiling in the section of living room that is new? Any advise and pictures would be appreciated!
