Comments (11)@soberg: on the toilet entry we thought we could have a 2 way access to the corner most toilet - one from the closet side and another from bedroom 3. @ eagledzines. Thank you for the sketches! On the high ceiling do you think we could juggle the entire layout of 1st floor a bit to accomodate a small family room (hall) where the staircase opens along with 2 other bedrooms. We are ok to compromise on the room sizes a bit and toilet / closet positions can be changed too as long as pillars are not affected.. The kitchen changes sound good. I was also wondering if it would be ok to have the sink right below the window. Thereby freeing up more cooking or prep space....See Moregive me an idea to contstruct my 1st floor
Comments (2)Not much to go on. A drawing/floor plan to show where windows, doors, and such are in the space... and what connects to this space? You say first floor, so where are the stairs? Two rooms... what are each of the rooms to be used for? (Kitchen, living room, dining room, a bedroom, an office.... what?)...See MoreNew house 1st floor
Comments (2)plan seems to be ok vastu wise. (assuming north -south axis is diagonal and not aligned to the axis of the house) regarding son's bedroom 1 - try making the washroom more square towards the left exterior wall and the box room in front of it. Best to keep wet areas together, i.e. wc, shower and tub in one zone and dry area i.e. the basin in one zone. Also you could change the orientation of the bed as there is no privacy in the current layout. Maybe same as guest room's bed orientation. Another option would be to to re orient the door. the dining area also should have some window opening. The master bedroom, in spite of being of good size, has hardly any wardrobe space. The space before the 2 pillars could be used for wardrobes with some rework on the walls and door alignment. I feel the whole plan needs some re working to take out the best use of the space. You can send us the autocad plan and we can help you rethink the layout along with interior design help....See MoreNeed second opinion on floor plan
Comments (10)Hi Deepasri, If you follow Vaastu, then I recommend that you have the Pooja room facing East. God’s idol should either face east or west. Expand your current pooja room to a study room that is accessible from your master bedroom or make it a store room where u keep ladder, travel bags, etc to be accessible from hall. And put the Pooja room next to it facing East in the hall....See Morejmm1837
