Comments (6)thanks for you idea \ but i will clarify a few more points 1.the area for bedroom and sitting room is on 1st floor 2. it is actualyy like a big hall unpartitioned at the moment 3. the sitting /living room is not like a common room ,it is only for this bedroom 4. i dont want to change postion of the bed on any other wall,i want it to be the partioning ,in some unique way. 5. i dont want the room to be totally divided into two halves by the partition --whatever is designed . 6.the siiting room is proposed to have a book shelf on one wall ,provision for tv panel and one single seater cane swing (hanging type). I HOPE THIS CLARIFIES THE PICTURE SOME MORE can you think for me now and help with some unique idea....See MoreHow should I bring some life and spunk in this room?
Comments (32)First of all, I don't think that furniture is comfortable enough to sit and watch TV, so the TV should be remove from that room, the purple wall paper and the purple furniture is too much, you should consider another color for that wall and the furniture against the wall it doesn't look good. What is that room at the end is kind of dark and I cannot appreciate exactly what is the purpose of that room. I'm a firm believer in skylights, we have skylights in the laundry room, kitchen, living room and office, they make a big difference. (if you cannot have skylights (or tube lights) can lights are a great option. There are a lot of great ideas from everyone. I can't wait to see the after photos....See MoreLiving room decor ideas
Comments (10)Hello Monika, I must say that concrete wall is fantastic! I see a large planter with a large leaved plant there.. I like Jonathan's idea, off white or shades of cream for the remaining walls and ceiling or even a subtle stone colour.. Then we need to talk textures! I think the sofa could work if you move it out a bit from the wall and layer it up with throws and add a couple of lovely cushions.. Warm woods would be nice too to balance the room.. Have you considered adding concrete to other areas of the home? There are some fantastic concrete chairs available both as a chair and bar stool.. Could be fabulous to compliment this room.. Cox and Cox did some pendant lights that were concrete with a warm edge detail.. You could create your own arrangement with a 5 wire ceiling rose and hooks.. A glass topped coffee table could be nice too.. Have a look at eBay or vintage shops.. Oh and one more thing... You can if you like the concrete wall find wallpaper for another room say that resembles what you have in the living room or even marble! It's fabulous and a feature you want to make the most out of! :))...See MoreNeed suggestions for living room layout.
Comments (2)Hi Ajinkya,. you have a fairly straightforward and neat plan. I will suggest the TV position on the wall adjacent to the door in living area. Never have TV opposite a window since glare can disrupt viewing quality. Dining can be tucked at the corner where dining area is mentioned with a nice concole unit which can have crockery storage etc. and top of the console can have accessories and a painting flanked with bracket lights. avoid hydraulic table since it looks ugly and boxy on the wall. Get a chic and elegant rectangular table with a chandelier or hanging lights. Sofa can be 6' approx. Get a single 6' long sofa with a day bed adjacent to it so that you can move as you want. get a nice sleek center table with a rug in the center. TV unit can be designed and will become a feature of your home since it's getting an entire wall. some examples of our work and Pinterest options are below....See More- 6 years ago
