Perhaps a large round table might mean a rug is not at all necessary. It could be a metal tray table, or carved wood like Rebecca Mitchell Interiors illustrates. Ideas also to consider, using multiple tables can be found at http://www.houzz.com/multiple-coffee-tables. I also agree with comments above that some color is needed on the walls. You could then hang round mirrors, or an unusual curved shape like RMI shows above.

You can use any seasoned natural hard wood like teak , sal wood etc. Another alternative is acacia wood (cost effective)!

Pari, These are ceiling/wall/floor strip lights mounted on Recessed/Flush Aluminium tracks and layed in a particular fashion. In easy language, there are grooves made on the surface, the channels are fixed, lights installed and covered with Acrylic / PVC cover for diffusion. I dont think u can use this golden laminate sheet on gypsum ceiling , i m not a expert though. In the ceiling of one of the room i have used mdf sheet and used the same golden laminate to highlight the border.
