Comments (30)So for this to work, you need to go back through my question and make sure you have answered all of them the best you can. Is the electrical outlet for the counter space going to be right next to the switch, or is it that blurred spot that I see in the picture, . If your walls are Travertine marble, and there are not already electrical boxes in the exact location the lights go, we are going to have a hard time. If a 30" vanity goes in the corner, and you leave 5" on each side for the lights, that leaves a 20" mirror with one light jammed tight into the corner. So if we leave another inch on both sides, for clearance, that leaves 18" mirror. If you put a 3" frame around the mirror mirror, that only allows for 12" of actual mirror. I don't think that is enough mirror. Your bath is too narrow for a mirrored cabinet with built in lights unless it is recessed into th wall. The plumbing is probably in the way for that. Give me your thoughts on what I have just said, and then go back and answer all my questions. Then we can take it from there with a narrower down and focused search....See Morebedroom lighting dilemma! chandeliers?
Comments (21)If you love that wallpaper, use it in bathroom. Not really right for behind bed. I would go a drum style chandelier. In a silk pale gold. Your bed looks zen or Asian to me. I love it. But, you don't. Need to much with it. Keep it simple a more formal drape on windows, color would depend on wall color and bedding. I'm thinking a dramatic peacock satin. Use a lighter same tone on walls a rich teal. Ceiling can be gold leaf. With alight that cast shadows on ceiling at night. Then your wall paper will tie in. Furn should be mirrored....See Morei need help for my formal living and unformal living and dinning
Comments (300)I think a comfortable distance between the island and the counter is around 42". It seems that you have only 30" between your cook top and the counter. I might be a little too tight. The wall between the entrance and the kitchen could be 4' long instead of 6', you would then be able to move the island a foot which would give you more room between the cook top and the island. Could you switch the location of the toilet and vanity in your dad's bathroom so your enter facing a vanity instead of a toilet which is a lot nicer....See MoreNeed help with my living room
Comments (138)Leather sofas can really dominate the room and can give an overall cold feeling. I would add some earthy elements, like a wood coffee table with glass or metal. Go to Restoration Hardware's website and look at their sofa room scenes. And I'm sorry I think the art is too harsh for the room. That's all your eye goes to in the room. too overpowering. I would look for something softer or maybe a cool mirror and I would add color to the room with pillows and some colorful lamps. I also think woven blinds would look great. They add warmth and give a finished look. The color of your window treatments should contrast your wall color a bit, not match it or else it starts to look generic and blah.. You have warm walls, warm floors and the woven blinds, like Hunter Douglas brand would pull it all together for you....See Moreadawn5
