either side step cabinets must be altered, a low king side bed with storage would be ideal here. even ur metal cupboard once get into the wooden cabinet the space above the cupboards can be closed like a easy loft till the ceiling. so all the clutter n stuff either in loft or bed storage and some in newly altered cabinets.. then comes overall enhancement, like proper curtains with hooks. and clean interior to enhance like cushion or rugs and most importantly some artworks. corner can be lite with a floor lamp..lot more area to play. thanks shradha shah beescheese design

Hello, You may have to remove them , take them to nearest timber get them planed and then reinstall. after planing you may have to buy few additional pieces to cover up the material lost in planing. Otherwise, If the gaps are not very big you can try filling them with metal paste or wood putty.

Place the cabinet against a different wall and not beneath that beam? There's no need for a false ceiling, instead you could do a simple cornice to soften and enliven the hard line where walls meet ceiling. You could apply the same cornice to the short, hard line where the lower side of the beam meets either wall. Keep it simple. You could even apply cornice ONLY to where the lower edge of the beam meets the walls. It softens the heavy horizontal impression, allowing it to pretend to be a very slight arch. If you're going to repaint, consider using slightly different shades for wall and ceiling. An alternate to the cornice is a shallow horizontal ledge to hold LED cove uplighting along all the walls, at the same height as the lower edge of the beam. If you do this in wood, clad the lower surface of the beam to make a feature of it and to match the cove lighting ledges. Keep the design simple. Hi Rishab, You can avoid creating 4" false ceiling and create 1.5 / 2" false ceilings just to let the wires hide and run within the false ceiling. I will not recommend conduits or exposee ceiling unless you wish to do a rustic interior design. You can go for Surface mounted lights and track lights. They are beautiful and are available in different shapes and sizes too.
