curtain wands for sheers?

hi all. I put up a double curtain rod so I could add sheers. Omgosh...I love my first sheers! But the daily opening and closing worries me ill get them dirty in no time. Can I attach these things called curtain wands to sheers?

Using a wand to open and close your sheers is a very good idea. I spec them for all sheers not on a pulley system. More than keeping dirty hands away, the wand helps kepps the shape of the leading edge. Daily yanking and pulling can stretch most sheers with their comparitively looser waeve. Attach the wand to the lead ring, never to the fabric.

Oh darn, Chroma, there are no rings. Just the fabric on the rod.

The drapes don't necessarily have to be "matchy-matchy" with the wall but they should compliment one another. If you are concerned with the drapes looking outdated overtime or if you choose to change you paint colour in the future then I would suggest getting some neutral earth tones. Depending on the style you're looking for (ex. linen, silks, sheers, modern vs. traditional, etc.)

Hello Aishwarya, The curtains need not match your sofa fabric. It will be an overkill. Please go with light colored curtains with hints/patterns of blue. Instead of two transparent curtains have two layered curtains the inner one (sheer) allows day light inside and the second layer cuts down all the light. Great question.Choosing the perfect curtain and blinds for your house will totally depend on the room and your personal liking.I think you should get vertical and roller blinds.Light curtains for safety, privacy may be the better choice.Curtains should be hanging on each side of the opening,letting the light in - for the showings.Also important - to make your windows clean and sparkling.I would like to recommend blinds over curtains.Blinds were always favoured over curtains from the start-anything to keep a fresh appearance.I hope that's helpful!Keep sharing.

So these are rod pocket sheers. Those can be fussy to move as they have the most friction and can bunch when openning. The weight of a wand attached on a sheer will pull and potentially tear. Try stiching an anchor piece to the backside of the sheer at the inside edge. Think creatively as to what may work. I'm brainstorming but try a piece of laminated cardboard with a hole punched in it to receive the wand clip.
