Sorry, but would you really take advice from someone that hasn't seen even off color photos of all the materials you've selected or knows the floor plan of your kitchen. If you post photos of the color and door style of the cabinets and cabinet moldings, a photo or the the name of the coutertop (there are many types and styles of black countertops), the finish and style of the appliances, the flooring you have selected, and the floor plan of your kitchen, maybe you could get sensible advice along of course with a lot of less valuable input. Asking blind strangers to direct you isn't sensible.

I would however like to clarify my requirements/dilemma a bit more. 1) The built/carpet area for this 3 BHK is about 1600 sqft (Superbuilt 1960 sqft). What is the appropriate tile size I need to scout for? More specifically, will Ultima-range-like huge tile sizes (i.e. 120x180cm2, 120x120cm2) be suitable for this area? 2) While I am thinking of white (based) tiles, I am not necessarily looking for super-white tones (it gives a bit of a commercial look, and will need extreme maintenance). Something more practical, and with some depth/dimension is what I am trying to identify. Any suggestions? 3) Would you advice that I consider other white-toned flooring options like Terrazzo (Bharat Floorings is having a Cast-in-Situ option, but I am yet to go to their showroom)? Hi Kiran, Before you place any furniture here, you should rethink the existing layout. I would eliminate the 3 internal walls around the puja room, and convert the areas of the living, puja, dining and kitchen, into a singular larger space. This is simply for better air circulation and overall aesthetics of the flat - to make it feel larger. You will now have an open kitchen - which can be shut by either a glass sliding folding partition, or with a half wall with a breakfast bar. You can use furniture smartly to create privacy for individual areas. You can also change the locations of the doors to the bedrooms, by not having them from the dining space, but from the passage outside the bathrooms; so that a larger table right in the centre with a dining credenza by one of the walls, thereby making the dining space a bit enclosed and not accessible from 3 sides. To answer your main question, you can have the television on the common wall between the living and bathroom (5'x8'); an L-shaped sofa can be placed along the same wall as the entrance door. antislip and easy maintainance tiles for exterior is the key. choose any shade, colour, size. must not have deep textures as that's gonna be tough later in use. do consider slope and drainage appropriately as terrace may lead to water proofing issues in future. make sure skirting is everywhere and corners with top part of the balcony wall is tiled properly. thanks shradha shah beescheese design
