I love the tall "structural" trees. What are they called? Evergreen?

Are these evergreens? And what are they? Love the formal greens.

Hi Lisa,

These are Carpinus betulus 'Franz Fontaine'. They are a deciduous plant, but their branching structure is rather significant, so they do a good job screening even so.
