There shouldn't be much of a difference.

However, Matt finish would be better from long term perspective. Some optical mouses do not work properly on glossy surfaces (in case you are planning for using one). You can also add a removable glass top if you are keen on maintenance part.

The glossy substance that we thought was white nano granite top, which is very easy to clean and acting as marker board as well. But concern is - it is too glossy.

Any drawbacks of using such granite as study top. Thank you once again.

Granite counter tops are awesome . Shouldn't be an issue. A bid if a shine will fade in few days. if you still see that as a issue a temporary cover would be helpful.
