What is going on with the cabinet, or is there a cabinet? Does it have doors that create a center line? Does it have an opening for a basin or is it a vessel sink basin (a bowl that sits on top of the cabinet). A picture would help us help you in the best possible way, but not having seen it- 99.9% of basins must be centered under the faucet. For splashing and for aesthetics. Exceptions are rare. Good luck! Hi. I hope the counter is thick enough to take the weight of the sink and water. atleast 25mm to drill in the undermount sink clips. Drill clips are available easy, you can look up Blanco and Franke EL undermount clips. If the counter is thin, you risk cracking while drilling, in which case it is better to use epoxy sink clips. A brand you can find in India is Solartime. They are expensive but you can get your local fabricator to make you a dozen clips and get them galvanised to prevent rusting. Do remember to apply silicone sealant between the undermount sink and the quartz generously. I know how you feel, things that are easily done in the west can be a pain to achieve in our country, especially places other than major cities.

We are renovating our kitchen and I can’t decide if I should put the sink on the kitchen island as opposed to the back wall near the stove where of course there is no possibility of a window. I have always had a window so I’m not sure if in the long run I would miss it. The other option would be to remove the large window 7’ x 5’5” and put a smaller window so that I can put the sink on that side. The designer is saying that the sink in the island would be better just in terms of added cost and I would lose a lot of pantry space if we went the replacement window route. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
