Need help to design living room wall
Comments (1)Hi Vijaya, you could use some panelling with interesting inlay or play around with colors once you decide your tv and home theater. I suggest you have ledge or some storage underneath where ur sub woofer and DVD players can be placed. Make sure they have ample power points. Remember to keep them ventilated as most of them tend to get heated. You could use the same ledge to place ur laptop on the extreme end and place cushions or puffins to double as extra sitting. The adjacent wall is a great place to convert into a library. If you have any chair in that area it may block the entrance. Cheers....See MoreHow/What sofa to replace/utilize this living room space ?
Comments (11)Hi Nikita, First and farmost, you have very beautifull coushion on sofa, from where you buy it? You can check the videos of Small budget Big makover first session series in youtube. In One such house in Gujarat, Muninder and Bishakha coloured the old sofa set with whtie (The sofa is like yours) and changed the centre table. Interestingly, the family also had your kind of sofa set and they also want some modern style. The architect duo did not changed the sofa, just changed the colour. Yes I found it in youtube. it is the house of Setu Upadhyay. the link is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85GNhyLeVnM Another suggestion is that you have many tables on the room. You can drop few chairs and opt for a single centre table...See Morewhere should I keep the tv unit in living room, please help?
Comments (8)Hi Kiran, Before you place any furniture here, you should rethink the existing layout. I would eliminate the 3 internal walls around the puja room, and convert the areas of the living, puja, dining and kitchen, into a singular larger space. This is simply for better air circulation and overall aesthetics of the flat - to make it feel larger. You will now have an open kitchen - which can be shut by either a glass sliding folding partition, or with a half wall with a breakfast bar. You can use furniture smartly to create privacy for individual areas. You can also change the locations of the doors to the bedrooms, by not having them from the dining space, but from the passage outside the bathrooms; so that a larger table right in the centre with a dining credenza by one of the walls, thereby making the dining space a bit enclosed and not accessible from 3 sides. To answer your main question, you can have the television on the common wall between the living and bathroom (5'x8'); an L-shaped sofa can be placed along the same wall as the entrance door. Hope this helps! G...See MoreNow it's way easy to make any living room smart at just ₹ 17,665 /-
