Harin, Veneer is a possible option , you can get it polished or laminated. It will require a bit more attention than other finishes when maintenance is concerned. DUCO is a soft finish it looks great and can be done but it's not scratch proof so care is required.Even if scratched you can get it repainted after few years. Here is a solution to this of u can’t find acrylic or laminate of the same colour the u can get it pained from Asian paints they have a huge variety of painting solutions with whatever shade u want. So what u can do is get the core material of plywood and put mdf on it to get a smoother and even surface and then ask Asian paints to get it painted for u I think it will we cheaper as well as u can get ur desired shade

So i’m guessing you’re saying that oil paint/enamel paint looks cheap? That makes sense cause whilst i was growing up, the govt quarters came with oil painted doors and it chipped off in a few years in a sorry state. Don’t want that. So oil paint is out? What I’m gathering is that PU paint is not just paint. It’s a process? So you prime and paint(?) first and then do a protective coating of PU with the thinners and the additives? Am I getting this right? :P
