Hi Mohit, As you rightly said that in Indian climate best is stone (Marbles, granite, sandstone etc.. ) or tiles. Before suggesting you something I would like o know your location in India and would analyse your lifestyle. While Marble seems to be an obvious choice for many its not the best material always. It is also expensive and needs high maintenance and not a sustainable material. All materials have their pros and cons. Its true wood does not essentially work in most of the climates in India however I must make you aware that there are very nice wood looking tiles available. As Skydell says, both will be cool to the touch. Marble is softer and more prone to scratches and etching. If you're looking for an easy care stone, granite is your best option. We generally recommend marble for lighter use areas such as bathrooms. However, as long as you know what it will take to maintain a marble floor, and are ok with the "patina" that it will develop over time, it can be a gorgeous option as well.

granite is not as strong as marble. as for flooring marble or any fancy tiles I would recommend. granite is little fragile amongst the stones, so not appropriate for flooring. well for window frames n door panels and table tops granite works really well.
