Need help designing the living room in my apartment

I need help designing my living room. The area is not divided and it needs to hold a 3+2 seater sofa and a dining with 6 chairs. The builder hasn't given a foyer as well. Need help in designing the foyer area as well as I don't want to open the door and visitors catching a glimpse of us eating as soon as the door is opened.

If the Deck is opening to a pleasant view, your current space planning seems to be wasting a good opportunity. Why is the dining so disconnected from the Kitchen?

Let your wooden beam be as it is. put your Led lights in the other direction ( two on each side in one rectangle , so the total will be 16 units of say 10 watt each Led.), as to balance the horizontal and vertical shape. Don't put anything on the wooden beam to retain its the beauty.
