Look up Dulux concrete effect as an easy method. Since you have black and white laminate on the cupboard shutters and warm brown tones of wood, I will suggest a complimenting warm tones and textures of brown or grey. Ok so go for ambient and cool colour wallpaper behind the wall. You can have same colour in ceiling that of wardrobe and make other wall plain light colour.
