You have a nice geometric, somewhat masculine look going here. I would play that up. I don't think you need to change the wall or carpet color as they seem to be a nice neutral background. Are they cream? is the purple more plum? and is the blue more of a steel blue/gray? The furniture is chocolate brown? I love the striped pillow on the chair. I would layer a wool steel blue/gray area rug and then play up the blue/plum in the pillows. A wool plaid or blue gray herringbone in a couple of throw pillows (replace a few of the solid color pillows) could help to pull it all together. Kind of like the colors in the picture of this bag. Adding brown leather cording would be a great compliment on the pillows. (Not sure the area rug in front of the TV is adding anything)

Easiest is just to paint the walls. Stay away from purple and replace your bed spread. Here are some ideas using orange headboards: A light beige wall . Note that the bedspread uses the same colors as in the room ( so brown , beige, orange) or A fun paint job- brown and white stripes. Again, the bedspread uses the same colors ( white and brown). OR A brave color choice- orange and brown pair beautifully with a deep blue or aqua.

Hi, I would suggest changing the furniture fabric first and formost, go for a solid colour say white, offwhite, grey or even brown, and use colourful cushions which you may keep changing. A light yellow more like a dull yellow with wall accessories will look great on the walls. . For the flooring , please use wooden laminates and repolish the ceiling (as i see is a lovely wooden ceiling ) to a similar shade. Change the curtains to a breezy white curtains. You can get a custom wall art done , glass with bronze, glass painting, that wall should be a center of attraction, anyone walks. I have done this for a site, it works wonders, guest appreciate a unique feature. this can be done as DIY project on weekend also. these are some some real world executed ideas. cheers mate.
