So much can happen on an exterior...trim, exposed rafters, doors, windows, siding, stone, brick, stucco, roofing, gutters and downspouts....hire an architect or a design/build firm to help answer these questions prior to building....like hiring an interior designer for help with furniture, these professionals will help decide the style of the exterior of the house and how that style interacts with the function of the house.

this looks awfully cold ( color wise) and somewhat commercial - I would use more earthy warm beige stucco and use some wood rather than painting the lap board shown, break down the mass by selecting a mass ( such as the two story massing above carport and introduce some stone veneer for a more earthy look - check out modern house category for some ideas how modern facades are normally treated.

If you want to remove the paint, you can rent a sandblaster and test it out; the main thing you want to watch for is if it is damaging the mortar. Otherwise, you could add sand to paint and either paint it all one color, or do a faux finish on each stone with a blend of several colors, I would start with one color base coat you want the mortar color to be and then move to the stones. Another idea is to call a stucco company and see if they can give you a smooth finish.

Something like this with vertical and horizontal sidings mixed if you do not want the stucco to be honest I never like brick and stone mixed and certainly not in a minimilistic exterior
