Design Dilemma Bedroom

need help for my bedroom with balcony

hi i have bed room with balcony width 3 feet and length of 9 feet .i dont want to put wall between balcony and room .please sugessest some ideas so that it will look great and with safety .

You can have full glass sliders in between to have flexibility. For the safety either you can use toughened glass or you can have grill fitted with the slider.

From the vastu point of view, don't put the water tank above master bedroom.

okay safety is good idea since balcony that's could be considered if its near the common area. Firstly now is the house under construction

Nice size, but a bit skinny! So, you need "zones." Near the balcony, perhaps a couple of small chairs and a table for the view, or a chaise with a reading lamp. Then, the sleeping area. Then some additional storage near the dressing room, if needed, and finally the bathroom.

I agree the plumbing looks sketchy i wouldn't invest a lot of money of decorative treatments if the pipes burst down the road. I would also look into your water quality it looks like you have a lot of rust stains that indicates high iron in your water which can really be hard on your plumbing and appliances. CLR is a product to improve the appearance but i would also look into Water softer as well. Stay away from natural products if your water is high iron they will stain fastest. work in three basic steps. 1. Paint the walls in a neutral shade like grey or beige.2. Go for wooden furniture in polish like walnut or pine colour (light brown). 3. Then choose any accent colour like red, navy blue, wine chocolate etc of your choice. Buy curtains, rugs and bedsheets of this one shade in solids. Then go for a couple of accent pieces like two frames or two lamps in white, gold or silver (again of your choice ). Done! this can be completely transformed very easily only by chanign the accent colour once you are bored..! all the best..

I have a similar issue, i have 3 feet wide & 10 feet long balcony attached to the dining area. It is more like a standing balcony, i plan on adding greenery, and decorate it with some terracotta stuff, pebbles & make it look like an attached conservatory to the dining.

My problem is, it is way too narrow a balcony and i want to design it aesthetically. I also plan on adding glass sliding doors and cover the roof top & sides of the balcony with the glass, add some color to the walls to give it a conservatory look. Again, safety is an issue.

I need to know if this is feasible and will look good. It is currently under construction. Any ideas & suggestions are welcome!

How about going for privacy screens like the ones shown below. Made of Weathertex, these are extremely strong & light weight at the same time. They are okay to use in rains, sun or any weather worries. In case you have security concerns, that could be worked out too.

Hi Sunayana, if its under construction and if the space permits, you should make it 3'6" clear width of the balcony for the perfect greenary cum sitting area.Rest , your idea is wonderful. For any further assistance you're most welcome.

Yes, we do have a space constraint. However, I will take into account the dimensions that you have mentioned, and as it is still under the construction, will also speak with my architect and see if we can somehow pitch in for the same.

A Seating nook with library could be good idea!

OR

Side / below storage with seating... Appearance could be changed to match with rest of your room interiors.!!

The ideas you presented are wonderful and perfectly apt for a smaller space. However, the above shown ideas have been already incorporated into other living areas of the house during the structural design itself.

At this time, for this specific area of the house, i just want to bring in some greenery & natural elements of the garden indoors. And the idea was to create a serene & relaxing feel to the dining area when the entire family gathers, with whatever little space we have.

So, hoping to really make it work, regardless of the outcome.
