Comments (7)Starting with the bedroom suites...have your bedding selected. Choose a color that coordinates. You can accent the headboard walls with a darker color and carry that darker color into bathroom on the walls, or continue bedroom color and carry the accent color into your towels and shower curtain. I would paint kitchen and 2 dining room walls the same color, selecting a darker color for the drama in the dining room and contrast with your kitchen cupboards (such as your green color). The other walls in your living room, foyer and hallway, should be your neutral color such as a camel or warm gray. This neutral is bumping up against all of your other room colors. So, it will make a good transition from room to room. On the bold side, you could find a great wallpaper for the two walls in the dining room. Don't forget to play up your foyer with furniture for that first look impact. Selecting your bedding first, allows you to tweak your paint color and hue, and the darkness of your color. Comments (15)two basic issues your room floor is dull is that floor to floor carpet if yes then add a a smaller area rug under your table to get splash of colour, alternatively if you dont want to do that then add some colorful wallpaper behind the sofa. Where you have the table lamp add something taller like a modern floor lamp or a tall spread out palm plant. Take the table lamp and add to a side table if you have one. The second biggest issue is that you have a lovely modern sectional sofa and then you have paired it with a very traditional and very high coffee table that looks like it has marble inlay work done (cant make out clearly). This is not a good pairing. The coffee table is the right size but get something modern and a lot lower, a general guide to this would be one inch to 2 inches lower than the seating height of the sofa. As someone else mentioned an Ottoman that can serve as a coffee table in an alternate colour will also work. Paintings and wall art is something you can experiment with but unless you do something about the coffee table the room will continue to look odd in my opinion. Also some more shots of the room will help us get perspective....See Moreis COB led lights good for residential use?
Comments (8)Hello, Firstly I would like to talk to you about COB lights. I personally think it is way better than panel lights because the more recessed the light source is; The more it is hidden to the Naked eye. The same also features some architectural lighting benefits too Were you could choose the beam angle so that a specific Area Is highlighted. Secondly your query about yellow, light yellow and white light Which are basically known as warm neutral and cool light. The truth is warm is the most preferred colour around the globe as it instantly makes A place feel Cosy and also brings out the richness in colours and also gives out a more relaxed feel to the eye. But basically we have been mostly drawn to white tube lights in the past and our human nature have adjusted to it and prefers the same in simulated environment. There is also some basic science to this matter. As in western countries people live in Cooler climates. When they get back home at evening or at night the warm tone of light gives them a sense of warmth-ness, Similarly as our country is very close to the equator and has this summer tropical climate when we get back to our homes the Cooler tune of light gives us a sense of coolness. Please do not worry but it is said that LED lights which are closer to the blue tone is considered a bit on the harmful side so I would suggest you to go for neutral or warm light or a mix of both. P.S. I have personally used COB recessed lights for a whole residential project complemented with other layering of light such as hidden cover light and different lamp light sources....See MoreLucricia Brooke
