Plan on having some beautiful drapes made. They should be mounted on rods wide enough so the panels will pull off the windows. Once those are installed, you can address what artwork would fit nicely on the remaining wall space.

A custom Roman Shade would be a good alternative to drapes for your windows. You still get the soft look and ability to choose a fabric that suits your decor, while saving your wall space. I've attached a photo of a Tucked Roman we made for reference.
