It must be designed as a modular unit and not attached to the walls or ceiling.

I love the work of DP Designs.

As Manhattan renters lacking a bedroom for our son, we came to Danielé based on an award-winning design he had done for a small commercial space we saw in Jersey City. (As friends of the owner, we knew Danielé designed the store on a shoestring budget.) We wanted a small but fully private extra bedroom while maintaining the light, airiness and beauty of our nineteenth-century West Village flat. We also did not want to risk giving the landlord ammunition to kick us out. Danielé researched the regulations concerning structural tie-ins. vs. modular rooms. After initial (and still-free) drawings, he communicated the city's laws with a grasp and clarity that completely reassured us.

Then he rendered detailed plans. This is where DP Design excels and where we felt we got a ton of creative passion at a fraction of its usual cost. Danielé's solved our problem with a small architectural jewel that combines the best of Tokyo and Berlin, while incorporating details that reflect an Italian obsession with beauty. Better still, he communicated logistics and budget with clarity and understanding. His design captures an aesthetic that we all love. Danielé's taste in furniture and gift for built-ins seem to add harmony and space to his architectural design. The solution, both urbane and warm, looks far more expensive than it is and sensitively accommodates my son—without decimating the living space. Unbelievably, we have avoided the expensive migration to Brooklyn!

Btw, we noticed that Danielé is a tough sourcer, driving down contractor and supplier prices and passing on savings to us. We highly recommend Danielé Perna Designs for its practicality and creative passion.

Hey Sudha ji , I'v a few ideas on the placement , a bed takes 9'x6'3'' so place it on the 15' Wall(you can reduce the width by removing side drawers,then you get 3' extra for bigger wardrobes on both sides) with one wardrobe on each side one for him and one for yourself and a chest of Drawers to keep other stuff handy and two Ottomans or love seat in front of the bed so you have enough space in front of the bed for traffic as well,and on the front wall to the bed place your Wall hung T.V, PLEASE keep the colours light , use white marsh by Asian Paints or Honey dew , here are some pics .

Hello Sir, For an apartment building, mold shall not be much of an issue. If it is done properly and the gaps are closed then even insects/cockroaches are not a problem in the brick walls. In fact they become more beautiful after some weathering and exposure. The man-made alternatives to actual brick finish are, brick tiles, brick wall papers, brick design laminates and MDF sheet.
