Those are truly beautiful chairs. Where are they sourced from. The whole room has a look of red wood. The ornaments look like they have been carefully chosen to go perfectly with the wood, the books and the chairs.

Hi Jedanna, Thank you for commenting on the room. The interior designer, Richard Keith Langham I believe purchased the chairs at auction and had them refinished and upholstered. I could be wrong on that... Regarding the wood - The room was completely paneled in Mahogany and stained to a dark brown tone and then finished with a hand waxed french polish technique. If by "ornaments" you are referring to the urns atop each pilaster of the bookcases...yes, I custom designed those to be carved and finished with the paneling. If you are referring to the many wonderful accessories in the room yes the designer selected beautiful pieces to finish the room. Thank you. Brian O'Keefe

Need a durable comfortable ergonomic styled chair that will handle someone 6' to 6'4" and weight range of 300-400#. Most offerings will not handle someone of this size, either they do not sit well (don't fit the body and proportions) or do not hold up (busted within a month or two). The two chairs shown look quite like a decorating statement, but no way would they hold up to someone of perhaps taller than 5'10" and weighing more than 180#....

'Supreme" chairs come in dazzling colors.I flipped for them when in Kerala but bought them while at Vijayawada. They are available anywhere and are water resistant, strong and too cute to look at. I am yet to find a table to pair them with but will do so soon. red,lime green,black,white,brown,blue,yellow...my god.The colors and their vibrancy is awesome.Many more colors as listed are available.

Hey Lauren, Can you share images of you home so that I can get a better idea of what chairs to suggest. There are way too many types of 'modern'! We can look for 19" chairs, or fit a one inch base, which you can easily find on amazon. Edit: Can you alter the legs of your trestle table to make it look modern? They are inherently very country.
