look at Marmoleum for your floors-unless you like the white tile? Marmoleum is a natural cork product, very giving to live with (easy on your bones and dishes : ), and they have various natural pigments in each colorway-so you could find one that has both light and dark brown and yellow or blue or gray in it-

I like the flooring . Get out the paint.

You also may want to consider a different finish for the island than the cabinets (see attached). That helps make the space more dynamic.

Another quick fix is to finish the back wall behind / above the counter with tile or a laminate (be careful around the stove). Building a wood soffit above the cabinets to the ceiling with crown molding may help this kitchen design feel more finished. You can see some more examples here: www.leaparchitecture.com

The tile looks bad with what ever color cabinets you have. They look like they have a gloss finish.? If so they HAVE to go. Paint the cabinets and change the tile.

Also install a backsplash to finish the kitchen. Don't tile on the side walls. Tile only under the cabinets.

A great solution would be to either paint the cabinets to a medium/dark color, or change up the flooring to something with warmer tones within. The cool white flooring against the yellowy cream is too "off".
