Comments (27)The lighter-- lime green towel would work. I would get a glass soap dispenser and, really, any beautiful piece of glass would work well for a toothbrush holder. You're in India, so you don't want to pay for international shipping, but here's an idea-- take a look at these cobalt blue dispensers on Etsy (and this is just one example-- they're all over the place): http://www.etsy.com/listing/116043015/cobalt-blue-glass-pint-jar-soap?ref=sr_gallery_25&ga_search_query=+glass+soap+dispenser&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_search_type=all I'm not sure the soap dispenser and toothbrush holder have to match anything in particular. I just think beautiful glass is beautiful glass. I mean, take a look at this depression glass pitcher, for instance. If the right size, I think something like that would be unexpected and amazing sitting against that beautiful grey tile. This particular one is rather expensive, but you can find ones less than this and along the same lines. http://www.etsy.com/listing/104529409/vintage-pink-depression-glass-pitcher?ref=sr_gallery_5&ga_search_query=depression+glass+pitcher&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=US&ga_search_type=all When it doesn't match, it will seem simply like something lovely (and functional) you've had on hand-- maybe in your family-- for a long time. I feel quite sure you can find beautiful glass in India....See Morebathroom
Comments (30)So for this to work, you need to go back through my question and make sure you have answered all of them the best you can. Is the electrical outlet for the counter space going to be right next to the switch, or is it that blurred spot that I see in the picture, . If your walls are Travertine marble, and there are not already electrical boxes in the exact location the lights go, we are going to have a hard time. If a 30" vanity goes in the corner, and you leave 5" on each side for the lights, that leaves a 20" mirror with one light jammed tight into the corner. So if we leave another inch on both sides, for clearance, that leaves 18" mirror. If you put a 3" frame around the mirror mirror, that only allows for 12" of actual mirror. I don't think that is enough mirror. Your bath is too narrow for a mirrored cabinet with built in lights unless it is recessed into th wall. The plumbing is probably in the way for that. Give me your thoughts on what I have just said, and then go back and answer all my questions. Then we can take it from there with a narrower down and focused search....See MoreHelp needed to design the kitchen and bathroom
Comments (18)I agree with divadeva. More lights. If you can add pot lights do it. If they're already there add task lighting and up the wattage on the bulbs on the pot lights (replace with LED and you can make them brighter because the wattage on LED is lower for brighter light). If you have all of that add decorative lighting. If ventilation is an issue find a way to move the air around or add air filtration. Maybe the HVAC is deficient. Maybe you can add a HEPA filter instead of the standard one that comes with the unit. Call an HVAC specialist to see if there is a way to boost air flow in the room....See Moreneed help for my bathroom
Comments (7)I did a house with nine bathrooms and it was so much fun. For the master bed we had his and hers separate ensuite bathrooms, so hers was feminine and victoruan; it even had a chandelier! His was white with a red shower wall and a blue and white border tile. The counter was tiled with red. It was a very cheerful little bathroom. The daughter's batH was blue and white, the border tiles and washbasin were Chinese themed. A very pretty bathroom. The two guest bathrooms were yellow and cream with hand painted sunflower accent tiles. One powder room was yellow and white, the other was beige with orange and green accents. It had a very whimsical washbasin with a hand painted frog inside. The pool house also has two bathrooms, more basic, mostly cream with wood accents. The colour comes from the stack of towels, red, blue, orange, lime green and yellow....See MoreKaren Fruchtman
