Love the backsplash, both tile and steel. Stacked slate? Steel panel?

Thank you! This kitchen was ours (we sold the house in 2014. We used the 12x12 slate from the flooring and cut assorted rectangles and squares - then played around with the layout before committing to the design we used.

The steel is large panels which we adhered to the wall with heavy duty glue. Panels were treated with a special mix we came up with to achieve the color.

If you have your own tile saw or a tile contractor that willing to play with different custom tile layouts you are set to go!

    Best luck with your project.

Thank you so much for your response. I have similar slate, oak cabinets and my concrete countertops are in the process of being completed. My slate tiles are 18x18 and I have enough left to do this behind my sink. I can't have anything too busy for remaining backsplash. I appreciate your inspiration!
