Hi Sandeep, If you plan to give the pooja area in the corner that you have marked above it will be facing south, which is not suggested as per vastu shastra. For any pooja area, the idol or photograph should not face the south. Instead, you may shift the refrigerator in the kitchen and move the storage/console/crockery unit closer to the kitchen door. This will create an area in the corner where you may provide the pooja room (as marked with the green outline). Hello Aditi, As an Interior Designer I keep few things in mind for vastu. God can face any direction except for North. And Headboard also should not be in North direction. Your earlier plan for puja place is also fine. You may also place it beside tv unit with nice jali door, facing south or west direction. Or in the kitchen at entrance with elevated on wall but you have to make the door sliding one.

Simplest option is to have a small one with suitable curtains next to the door entry...pray facing east...though it will still be in the south east quadrant. Have you given a thought to swapping the positions of Sofa and TV cabinet ...seem same dimensions ? Extend the TV cabinet right up to the door...build in the pooja place...east wall...pray facing east. Another great option that can be planned with appropriate changes is in the balcony on the right wall...pray facing east... Yet another option is to redesign/rework the balcony sliding door and have a small pooja place inside against the present balcony sliding door....pray facing north east. The sliding door seems to be a good 8 feet. Even if you have it say 2’ wide in the centre, there would be ample space to move/slide the doors on either side... Having one in the north east bedroom east wall can also be an option...keep it covered when not praying. Options galore... Look at what suits your lifestyle the best. All the best. 🙏🏻
