I didn't realize it was a faux stone pattern. There is nothing you can do to hide the grid pattern I am afraid...However, as it is recessed in a niche, I am inspired by your windchime pattern to think of adding eyelet hooks on the top and bottom that align with the vertical grids and uplight them from behind...This idea but with less vertical rods, and then uplit to give an effect like the second picture...

The balcony is nice. I once made all windows in an apartment a standing balcony. I placed artificial turf and some climbers in hanging pots from the ceiling with small lamps. For more dramatic look cover the ceiling with wooden panels (water proof).

Hi Namrata - The grass height doesn't matter as much as the grass density (i.e. the number of stitches per sq meter) - higher the better. The below balcony from one of my projects uses turf with a height of 25 mm and density of 18000 stitches/ m2 . Hope this helps!
