Backsplash? Hardware?

Ideas for lighter looking backsplash? (Microwave, fridge,stove are black. Dishwasher is black and stainless)

Hardware or no hardware? We have an almost 1 year old. We like the look of no hardware, but are debating which to go with!

Adding silver tone hardware will break up the dark of the cabinets and add interest in the kitchen. )Also with all the movement on the countertop granite I would suggest a tile solution for the splash. These have interest without overpowering your stone:
