thank you for the options people... i was trying to think a bit of a contrast flooring .... slightly more browner ... ?? What say all of you ? also need the floor to have some texturing dont like absolutely smooth wood will make it feel like paper...

Hi, I would suggest changing the furniture fabric first and formost, go for a solid colour say white, offwhite, grey or even brown, and use colourful cushions which you may keep changing. A light yellow more like a dull yellow with wall accessories will look great on the walls. . For the flooring , please use wooden laminates and repolish the ceiling (as i see is a lovely wooden ceiling ) to a similar shade. Change the curtains to a breezy white curtains. Hi Julie You can apply 2 coat of red oxide primer to the dry floor surface.That will serve your purpose. Ask for 'red oxide primer' and get half ltr turpentine also. Loosen the primer by mixing turpentine a bit..Apply the second coat after 6 -8 hrs.. Red-oxide primer is actually used on metal surfaces to protect it from rusting. Regards Jestin Thomas Renovart
