Need ideas to decorate a wall in kitchen
Comments (9)Seems weird not to incorporate it into the design -- I'm all about having things "look intentional" rather than working around them later. Like could the island have connected to this, rather than extending past it? or been L-shaped, so there's room for an extra stool, and also a wall cabinet? Anyway, hard to discuss that in the abstract without kitchen plans. I'm with miacometlady's original advice to not worry about it right now, and decide how to deal with it once the bulk of your kitchen is in place. You might find that you hardly notice it, with all the beautiful new finishes, or it might seem obvious to put some stainless or glass shelves there, or maybe simple is best and one simple hanging picture does the job. Don't stress about it until After. :)...See MoreSuggestions for designing a large plain wall
Comments (1)you can go for a chip tile art work. Your theme can be portrait, abstract, mandalas, anything based on what the space is....See Moreliving room decor
Comments (9)1). Plz remove the TV panel, its breaking the space on the wall, apply a wall paper or texture on the entire wall, add a self b/w TV n base unit, use conduit to conceal all wires. 2). Curtains till skirting level both on windows n doors is much needed of. Don't keep shear fabric curtains only on windows. You can mix 2 cotton curtains of contrasting colours as per your room colour n can add a white shear fabric curtain in between to enhance the look. 3). A matching khadi spread on floor at sofa Place will be great along with matching cushion on sofa to tie entire room elegantly in one theme. 4).The blue colour wall can be of some light color as per the curtains with few shelves to keep some light weight decora with accent lights highlighting the art pieces...See MoreLiving Room Suggestion
Comments (6)Hi Nisha, Like the way you have chosen a neutral colour palette keeping in mind the size of your Living room. Would like to share a simple home styling tip: Always slip your carpet below the 2 front legs of the furniture around it. This helps to pull the room together. Your wall can be treated in multiple ways: It's a nice idea of having a floating shelf. This can also be combined with a collage of frames, small wall art, Some Letters, Arrows, etc. around it to fill the wall as seen below: Regarding the painting idea: Choose the subject as an abstract/geometrical, since this would match the style of your living room. And always hang the painting with its base at just 6-8" from the sofa backrest. (keeping them at an eye level). A) You can opt for a huge landscape framed painting, that would cover the wall. OR B) Have 2 similar vertical frames, hung side by side. Can also add a focus light above to highlight these paintings. You can highlight it with a wallpaper / textured paint finish (only if it is continuous wall) in the family of neutral shades and geometric patterns. Also can have a huge wall art or a figurine hung on the wall. These are easily available online. Colour Ur Blank Spaces is an online interior design service.
