I think your inclination toward rustic and distressed pieces is the right way to go. Consider a movable coffee table - I see 2 recliners that may necessitate some table shifting?- an area rug large enough to incorporate all the seating, rather than just a hearth rug, and enclosed storage for your electronics. The recommended fit around a DR table is 24" larger on all sides for the chairs. You won't have that on the 6'8" side. I'm thinking the rug is going to be too small for the room 8x10 or even 9x12 would have been a better choice.
