Comments (8)I'd go to a couple closet designers and email them your dimensions of the room - they'll need ceiling heights, depths from back of wall to door openings, position of any windows etc. access to attic (if needed) - you also need to do an inventory of what you want to store in your closet, like are you a shoe or handbag hound, or clothes hound, or more of a collector of fine jewellery and perfumes... You'll need to know your budget, and timeframe to completion. At 5'x5' you won't get an island, but you can go up to ceiling and maximize on specialty inserts etc. Images of amazing closet designs to inspire - from obvious high end to cost effective...good luck!...See More"need to design space under the staircase"
Comments (52)A houzz contributor, not too long ago, had made a wine rack out of 4'x4' wooden pallets, that are used in the US to move a load of goods with a fork-lift truck. Perhaps they have them in your country. He cut them in half so they were only two feet deep and stacked them up to high counter height. The wood would be a nice contrast with your concrete, might add a little warmth to the space. cascio.offsite@gmail.com...See MoreNeed help with my living room
Comments (138)Leather sofas can really dominate the room and can give an overall cold feeling. I would add some earthy elements, like a wood coffee table with glass or metal. Go to Restoration Hardware's website and look at their sofa room scenes. And I'm sorry I think the art is too harsh for the room. That's all your eye goes to in the room. too overpowering. I would look for something softer or maybe a cool mirror and I would add color to the room with pillows and some colorful lamps. I also think woven blinds would look great. They add warmth and give a finished look. The color of your window treatments should contrast your wall color a bit, not match it or else it starts to look generic and blah.. You have warm walls, warm floors and the woven blinds, like Hunter Douglas brand would pull it all together for you....See MoreHow to place sectional? Long living / dining room
Comments (5)#1 is the only one that works with your doorways. But I would rethink the sectional pieces which look too large. You will need at least a floor lamp. Your table/chairs looks narrow in relation to your sectional - is it to scale in the drawing? You may not have enough room. I would use a sofa against the wall and two chairs on either end facing toward each other....See Moredilly_ny
