Hi, I am very confused with the design / layout of the dining room for our new house - there is a column coming in at a weird place creating 2 pockets in the room, and we don't know how to utilize the space. Also, there is a french window on side of the room. I am attaching the drawing of the dining room herewith. We would like to have a big dining table, TV, a crockery unit, and a small casual seating place in this room. We would also like to have a central lighting control for the entire house/ home automation control being done from here. The house is following a "modern" theme.
