I have to set up my New Living cum Dining room. Drawing is as attached. I do not have a sofa and I do not plan to buy any. Instead, I will prefer to buy some light weight chairs. I already have a 6 seater Dining table, a single bed and 3 old trunks of my MIL which I plan to put somewhere in this room and cover up with some padding above it and a good bed cover or Table cover. Please suggest me a good idea.

You will need space to walk and for your feet if you turn the chairs around - if you put a divider in you will block the view from the dining table out to the balcony - and thus make the kitchen and dining room both have no view ! So if you keep it open, the natural light can get through !

first of all i think u have a nice large space to begin with. We can create an L-shaped partition extending towards space where u have kept the dining table. Sowe get a lare space for L- shaped sofa. The TV unit can be where the diwan is right now.with a pendicularly placed showcase / bookshelf which also acts as a space divider. the space beyond that can be utilised for the diwan or a day bed which can be the family space . the dining table to be placed in the center of the room with circulation space all around.
