Living room - need help
Comments (10)Thank you Laura for your response 1. I would be buying new furnitures 2. The door that you see in image 1 is the main entrance to the house , opposite to that is the passage to the bedrooms 3. In the image 2 the opening you see next to the main entrance is the kitchen area 4. I do not have the exact dimensions with me right now but I can give it to you soon ..but as you correctly said it is kinda skinny and long 5. Also there is 2 feet space ahead of the window which if we want can be extend in to a window bay or a sit out sorts...See MoreNeed Help in setting my Living Room with furniture layout and Decorati
Comments (1)The best way to make a small space look larger is to avoid the tendency to add in too much furniture, or make it too large-scale. You need pieces that offer you enough seating, but with smaller profiles in both your living and dining space. Look for multi-functional pieces with storage, keep the wall color the same in areas that flow together, and use the walls for vertical storage and display instead of relying only on freestanding pieces. Look for furniture retailers that advertise "apartment size furniture," and see Houzz Photos under "small space living" and "vertical storage? for ideas. You can use art, an area rug or similar to decide your color scheme. Your apartment really isn't that small, fortunately, by big-city standards....See Moreneed help decorating great room
Comments (0)We just moved into a new house. It has high ceilings. Kitchen, Living and Family room all flow together in a large room. The walls have been painted and we dont want to change the wall colors at this time. I am interested in getting some advice on the type of furniture to buy, rugs (colors, patterns), wall decor (painting, clocks), furniture arrangement and the colors to use. The large island also has a pull-out breakfast counter. But, we want to add a nook table. Please suggest ideas. Thanks....See MoreNeed help with furnishing and decoration of my living room
Comments (2)Hi Raghvendra! What I understand is that you require ideas for cushions and also for the wall. First of all, decide on the theme which you are going for.....modern...European....etc. Your furniture looks a mix of the two. As such a full view of the room would help one to decide on the best combination. Also the furniture material esp sofa will decide the texture of the walls and the cloth you will use for cushions. Also the size of cushion will matter. Personal choice of the color is best. I always go for rustic looks which matches most & mingles with all set ups. It give a look of luxury too. Pl consider all these facts before you decide. Hope this will help you. Looking forward for a happy home!!...See MoreAmber Ivey
