thanks for you idea \ but i will clarify a few more points 1.the area for bedroom and sitting room is on 1st floor 2. it is actualyy like a big hall unpartitioned at the moment 3. the sitting /living room is not like a common room ,it is only for this bedroom 4. i dont want to change postion of the bed on any other wall,i want it to be the partioning ,in some unique way. 5. i dont want the room to be totally divided into two halves by the partition --whatever is designed . 6.the siiting room is proposed to have a book shelf on one wall ,provision for tv panel and one single seater cane swing (hanging type). I HOPE THIS CLARIFIES THE PICTURE SOME MORE can you think for me now and help with some unique idea.

I agree the plumbing looks sketchy i wouldn't invest a lot of money of decorative treatments if the pipes burst down the road. I would also look into your water quality it looks like you have a lot of rust stains that indicates high iron in your water which can really be hard on your plumbing and appliances. CLR is a product to improve the appearance but i would also look into Water softer as well. Stay away from natural products if your water is high iron they will stain fastest. Congratulations on the baby.

If you divide 9.5 feet high, you would get a 6 foot ceiling in the dining room and a 3.5 foot loft. I don't think you'd like either. Consider a murphy bed in the dining room instead.

Add some colors on the ceiling. Go for wall paper on the back side of the bed wall, plus beautiful wall lamps on either side of the bed unit, put some good picture, change the t.v. unit if possible.
