Which colour should I use?
Comments (10)Hi senba, Great suggestions above! Yes, use the wallpaper background... but keep it really, really light blue. It will keep the room homogenous and will retain the softness of your paper. That is going to be a very pretty, very fun room when complete.... please post a picture! Elizabeth Cabell, ASID, CID...See MoreDear freinds what should b the color scheme for a8×4'bathroom with one
Comments (7)With white fixtures, keep your floors and all tile white or a stone that is mostly white. You can paint the walls above the wainscot (which might be glossy painted wood or beadboard, or you might employ a cabinet for the sink that was painted a very soft sky blue. One narrow trim piece of tile running through the white tile might be the same tone of sky blue. Then, add blue linens / towels / etc. [houzz=] Now, consider what other colors are in your home and select one that is clear and soft and lovely with white. You might use that color instead of sky blue. I used sky blue because it is the color of water and therefore always appropriate in the bath, but you can make the bath flow with the colors you have or plan to have in your home. If this was a master bathroom instead of a common or guest bath, I would shift the choices of stone and tile from white plus white to a lovely off-white, cream, or almond tone - like travertine. Use a neutral like chocolate on the cabinet and add color only with linens and perhaps some art on the wall. [houzz=]...See MoreIdeas for backsplash and wall color?
Comments (14)Unfortunately all your options require custom work: It looks like you need an 18" corner cabinet. You will have to modify the last wall cabinet on the left. As I am eyeballing it, you should be able to cut the last cabinet in the middle and then shorten the left section to fit the space of the wall next to the door trim. It's an option that makes the area looks symmetric. Or you can install shelves over the sink. I would not recommend it because it will take the looks away. And the last option will be to remove the last cabinet, shorten it so it fits over the sink and install a single cabinet where the double one was. This will leave a triangle space behind the corner where the two cabinets will meet. You can block the space under it. Hope this helps!...See MorePaint /Wallpaper/Wall Cladding - Builder
Comments (4)Hello Sir, I do not understand- what do you mean by "changing the wall Designs." For coloring/wall papers/textured painting it is better to have finished wall. For wall cladding/tiling it is OK to have a non finished wall as well as they require a rough surface. For changing the tiles, its quite a messy, and wasteful expense. Rather, you can give the tiles of your choice to builder to install on the first go itself. Some builders don't allow such requests but others would happily do so. Some others may even offer a discount for not using their tiles. Same thing with paint as well you can give your colors to them to paint if you are not happy with white.
