I would suggest you to go for either actual stone cladding or ceramic wall tiles. Natural stone cladding provides a rich look to your walls and last comparatively longer than wallpaper. Although initial cost might appear to high but in the long run, it is the cost-effective solution for your walls as it requires very low-maintenance. Going for wallpaper would not be a very nice option especially if you are looking for something long-lasting. They not only get damaged easily because of moisture or other factors but would also stain your wall when they come out. Ceramic tiles is also a nice option to go for. You can get a huge variety in terms of size, colour, pattern etc. If you are looking for not-so-expensive option then ceramic mosaic tiles is the viable option. However, you should know that ceramic tiles take quite a long time to warm up during winters and cool down during summers. Wooden Planks would make your interior look elegant but it is very susceptible to temperature change and can easily get damaged with water. Also it might not go too well with modern architecture. Hello Kanika, Sorry to hear your experiences. There are many a possible fixes to this issue . Use the ones based on your patience level. These are not DIY stuff and you may need help to do it. Please handle the chemicals/acid with extreme care. Steps: You may not need all ;) 1- Start with pressure washing with water at least twice 2- Dry Soda/sand blasting will remove most of the putty 3- Diluted hydrochloric acid wash will take away any remnants. It will remove the remaining flakes and also etch the polish marks. 4- Finish with a soda wash to remove any acid + Pressure clean once again. Alternatively, there are a few old school tricks which work great to hide these errors. 1. Make a thick mixture of cement /water/binder and touch up on the white putty marks. Let them dry, and proceed with smaller ones. 2. And If you want a similar finish, a paint like consistency of the above cement and water mixture can be applied on the wall using a paint roller make sure to do it one go as cement does change color in each batch. You may add colors and lime to add some character. Caution: Before proceeding with any of the above, test it on small patches. Be extremely cautious with acid and blasting dust. You need to mention your budget for us to advise a suitable method of which there are countless. Whatever may be the method we try, in retrospect it would only be secondary to real concrete and therefore would lack the solid raw monilithic almost indestructible character. The second reference image looks like a tile. The first image is a textured wall which can be achieved in several methods and quite obviously the price will go north the more you try to get closer to the real thing i.e raw concrete. Look up Dulux concrete effect as an easy method. In any case in our country the easiest method would be to use fibre cement boards and engage a wall texturing specialist to create the concrete texture as in the first ref image.

Rashpreet, The wall highlighted in red is a better fit for stone cladding. Couple it with subtle wall papers for enhancing the look. Accentuate it more with repeating the pattern on the wall next to Kitchen entrance. Is this an after thought as no provisions are made for accomodating stone cladding. For eg, the ledge depth will get covered with the stone edges ? Please plan how will you accommodate that. If the TV is wall mounted, make sure that the TV clamp provision is made as drilling it afterwards is a tricky job. For the other query, You can have the boundaries defined with a contrast wood or granite. We will try to post a pic for your reference. The wall claddings displayed are exterior grade and may not suit the finer ones required for living room. See if you can find some designs that are more refined.
