“What an outstanding job! We hired him to update the countertop in our kitchen and the work exceeded our expectations. Chris is easy to work with, excellent and careful with installation, and reasonably priced. While installing our countertop, he encountered a plumbing issue due to an old sink and not only identified it, but also brought in a plumber to fix it quickly. Great to work with someone who can do it all!”

“We hired Jay for a custom soapstone sink and countertops. We originally contacted him for slate, but when we visited his company to choose a slab we fell in love with the soapstone. He did a great job, responded quickly when we had questions and templated and installed quickly when the contractor was ready. After using the sink and counters for about a month, we really love having soapstone and love how it looks!”

“Forever Marble helped us choose the best pieces for our bathroom granite for a remodeling project we did. From granite selection to installation, the process went smoothly and the end result is gorgeous. We get compliments all the time on our bathroom granite. Highly recommend. Also, they were cheaper than most of the other marble and granite shops we looked at.”

“We have worked with J&M Lifestyles on a number of projects as well as partnering together in trade shows. Their custom made concrete countertops are so different and unique. The detail and craftsmanship is exquisite. You get the wonderful look of natural wood or stone with the durability of concrete, making it pair especially well with Sub-Zero Wolf outdoor products. Jeff and Michelle are great to work with and we have welcomed them as part of our Sub-Zero Wolf family; we both have the same values when it comes to our customer service, we will go above and beyond to give our customers a high quality product and one of a kind attention. We are looking forward to partnering together again this year at the Architectural Digest Home Design Show in NYC!”

“We recently completed our bathroom renovation in a 1946 building in Jackson Heights. It was a full-scale renovation - we took it right down to the studs. The centerpiece is a deep soaking tub with a marble tub surround and deck that I designed. For marble fabrication, I turned to Empire. Empire had a remnant of just the kind of statuary marble I was looking for at just the size I needed. There was even some leftover that they cut into pieces for my shower niche, thresholds, and window sill. And because it was a remnant from a kitchen they had already finished, they quoted me a really good price. Their installers were excellent. It took them about 4 hours and they were very patient and diligent. (The corner where the double apron meets the deck was a tricky bit that they had to hone on the spot.) Before going to Empire I had read the mixed reviews on yelp - and having worked with them, I think I understand the issues. I would use Empire again. For their great prices and great quality of fabrication and installation. But just be aware that Lucy, the owner, is prickly. She really should not be dealing hands-on with customer service. Anna in the front office is a sweetheart. But in the end, Lucy calls the shots, and she is tough. Two words of caution: Negotiate the exact division of your payment up front. Read the agreement carefully. The industry standard is 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3 payments. That is, 1/3 up front. 1/3 after inspecting fabrication. 1/3 after installation. But Empire will try to get you for all but a few $ at the second stage, before installation. This happened to me and it felt like swinging in the wind to pay Lucy almost 100% before final installation. My experience turned out okay, but if I had it to do again, I would have made sure it was the standard 1/3 at each phase. The other thing that happened that I would caution about - nearing the end of the installation, one of the installers said he was running out to get something from his truck and asked my contractor for the keys so that he wouldn't have to buzz. My contractor handed them over without thinking. Did you know that if the fabricator has your keys and the job goes sour, Empire is legally still in your apartment and can rip the whole thing out? Yep. So, word to the wise about that. In the end, my renovation turned out great and I would use Empire again.”
