“What struck me immediately about John was his professionalism and attention to detail. I have had work done in the past only to be very disappointed. My goal was to have my cabinets refaced; John went beyond that as there were some cabinet repairs that needed attention. I felt like I was having custom cabinets installed. He kept his work space very neat and organized so it wasn't difficult to "live with" during the installation process. The quality was excellent and he took the time necessary to maintain both of our high standards. I would recommend John highly. He is easy to have in your home and maintains his professionalism at all time. I love my new kitchen cabinets and the attention to detail John brings to the job.”

“Exceeded expectations! In most cases after hiring a professional I've been left feeling I could have done a better job on my own. Thankfully that wasn't the case with Hillcrest. I decided to contract my kitchen and powder room renovation out due to a lack of time & proper tools. Mike is as good as it gets and has an attention to detail that matches mine. From taking down existing walls and demo, to installing custom cabinets and backsplash, he took my entire project from start to finish. He is knowledgable, punctual, trustworthy, and in my opinion very reasonably priced when taking into consideration the quality he delivers. I've got a few other projects planned and Hillcrest will without a doubt be the company for the job.”

“I initially hired Richard to make a custom master bathroom vanity for my house in Old Towne Pinehurst. After seeing his final product, I was hooked (he even changed the color for me at no cost - thats custom work). I proceeded to use Richard to do the remainder of my house (kitchen, wine storage, and fireplace surrounds). He understood the look I was going for. He drew up custom plans and showed me his vision for my kitchen (a design other kitchen companies in the area said would not work). He absolutely nailed the kitchen. He added intricate details and even had custom iron work made to match my door hardware. I continued to have him add his custom touch throughout my home by adding in custom bookshelves, ceiling beams, posts, he even made my kitchen table. He tied the entire house together. It truly feels like a home - not a cookie cutter replica other companies provide. Richard was honest and completely transparent about costs and timelines. I will use him for my next house (and I am moving to Baltimore).”

“After spending considerable time looking in vain for a qualified builder for a custom display cabinet for my 6-foot tall scale model, I was excited when I finally found Citified Woods. Following an initial phone conversation, Myers Guthrie visited my home to gain an insight of my project, and after a 15 minute conversation, I was 100 percent certain he fully grasped what I wanted. He promptly created a few preliminary CAD drawings for my review and proposed several changes and enhancements that I hadn't considered. Myers then provided a detailed contract which I approved and he began work on the cabinet immediately. As the project was nearing completion, he brought the unfinished piece to my home for a test fit, lighting check, and assembly/disassembly trial run. This courtesy, along with several revisions and enhancements to the cabinet detail and lighting system, was extended at no charge or adjustment to the initial contract. I am elated with the completed display cabinet as it has by far exceeded my vision and expectations, due mostly to the exquisite workmanship and creativity of Citified Woods. The project was completed in a timely manner at the original contract price. Myers Guthrie knows what he's doing when it comes to fine work working; he is remarkably creative and loves the challenge of a unique project. I would highly recommend Citified Woods for any high-end, custom woodworking project.”
