This young man responded quickly to our request for information, setting up an appointment to personally visit to review our site, discuss our requirements, work within our budget, and offer his recommendations. We wound up going with most of what Mr. Lane suggested, and it turned out nobly. Mr. Lane took a plain, newly-constructed, brick wall and made it a work of art using iron and brass. The location of our site is in the historic district of downtown Elizabeth City, NC, and his work generated much comment. People imagine something grand is destined for this meadow-like plot, given the majestic entrance and exit gates Mr. Lane fabricated and the iron and brass ornamentation on top of the brick walls. His work exceeded our expectations, was performed in the timeframe Mr. Lane stated by his team of talented metal smiths, and all questions we raised were quickly addressed. As a result of such a positive experience, we asked Mr. Lane to fabricate railings for the stairway into our backyard garden, and these, too, were of the same high caliber, although not ornate. We have had a number of inquiries about who produced the work at our locations and have happily and confidently referred them to The Fabrication Lane. In these times when workman seem harried and non-inclined to deliver much in the way of personal service, Mr. Lane's competence and professionality is a breath of fresh air.”
