“Our introduction to Knight Kitchens and Ed Stoehr was quite fortuitous we quite unexpectedly attended a home improvement show at the Nassau Coliseum on Long Island in anticipation of a complete renovation of an older home that we had recently purchased. “I use these guys all the time for my lumber needs. I have used them for granite countertops. I use them for my finishing needs (stains, laquers, varnishes, etc.). I buy most of my tools from them as well and various hardware needs as well as all kinds of misc. needs around the house. They are great people to deal with, true professionals with extensive experience. Not only experience behind the counter selling you things and telling you what you should buy. They all have real world experience in the trades and therefore REALLY know their stuff. They also stand behind the products they sell. It is such a HUGE relief in the world of the BIG BOX stores and even where the smaller independent hardware stores have gone to "unskilled" labor that can show you where something is in the store (if they have it) if you know exactly what you need already and that is about the extent of their knowledge. These guys don't play that game, they don't hire anyone other than professionals and the same people who start there, stay there. Most of the faces I know from many many years of experience with them at the store. And last but not least, their prices may not be cent for cent on every last thing, but when I even it out (they are actually lower in quite a lot of areas) I usually end up spending not much more and often less than I would in the "BIG BOX" stores (I still do price check, I can't help myself, it's kind of in my nature regardless of what kind of shopping I do for any type of item). So, needless to say, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!! They will take care of you well and never take advantage of you. They are also a local/regional company in Northern New England, small enough to not pull the crap the others do but big enough to compete on price and be able to handle any size or scope of project. They do actually have there own construction side of the business and build some of the best garages and outbuildings in the Northeast as well as other parts of the business.”
