“Jameson and his team were amazing! I met with several contractors (four to be exact) and knew immediately that West Coast Deck was best qualified for the job. They were also quick to respond and get my project going. I had designed rough plans and Jameson was able to help me fill in all of the design elements, overlooked details, and structural measurements to carry it out. Their attention to detail is impeccable. The entire job from start to finish was nothing but a positive experience. Outdoor living in SD is a must. The deck turned out absolutely gorgeous, worth every penny. I can’t believe how fast they completed it. Very impressed. I would 100% recommend West Coast Deck to anyone. I am hoping to get them back soon to help me with a few other projects. Thank you Jameson!”

“I love my new yard!!! I am so happy I picked Backyard Vacations to do our backyard. I interviewed several contractors and Backyard Vacations was not the cheapest, but clearly I got the most for my money. They really listened to me and understood what I wanted. Then they were able to give excellent suggestions that fit in with what I was looking for. They had ideas that I would never have thought of on my own, but suited our yard perfectly. They have an experienced Landscape Architect on staff. He is amazing. His design and input is included in the cost. And he is involved throughout construction to adjust the design when we changed our minds. Most other companies do not have their own landscape architect, so the costs are separate and you do not have their input during construction. The quality of their work is wonderful. No cutting corners. I did not want it done the cheapest way. I wanted it done the right way. Again, I am so happy we picked Backyard Vacations!!”

“We used Dave Fraser and his team to rebuild our deck on our new home. The project was large and complicated—probably the largest residential deck I’d ever seen on a home, riddled with termites and totally unsafe to walk on. The original bid was far outside of our budget, but Dave helped us redesign the deck and walked us through how we could make it work within our budget. The new deck, although smaller, doesn’t feel so because it was redesigned so well. The project mostly stayed within the budget, with a few unexpected charges related to unexpected wood rot that was discovered. I was particularly impressed with how Dave handled discussions about the charges. He is very empathetic and understanding and was willing to work with us. Beyond budget and design, we found Dave’s crew extraordinary. Every worker was polite, stopped working and addressed questions, even helped with a couple of things outside of the project. They were all professional and kind. We love our new deck. It is something we will enjoy for decades. With such a large investment, we wanted a company and crew we could trust to do a great job. Dave and his crew not only met this criterion but exceeded it.”

“The whole process was so easy I almost felt like I was missing something. From the initial consultation to the end, this process was painlessly easy. We just said generally what we were looking for and it happened - beautifully. We love our balcony. The crew was polite and professional and cleaned up every day. It was seriously easy and we didn't pay until the job was done. We are very happy.”

“Amazing service and beautiful products! We had Cyril design and install two large Biosunns in our yard, and they are even better than imagined! They look cohesive with the space and allow us to use the yard more freely. I also really appreciate all of the ways they can be customized, including the ease of having them powder coated to our desired color (in which Cyril also managed for us.) Cyril was an absolute dream to work with. He was always incredibly thorough, responsive, dependable and had wonderful feedback and assisted us in decision making. It’s clear that when working with Cyril and his team that they know the product inside and out which allowed them to come up with a solution for everything we asked of them. The customer service was above and beyond. Months after installation when our large yard project was finally ready to have a light fixture hung (from the Biossun) and more electrical switches installed for the fire pit, Cyril came back out to connect them and complete the items for us. Truly a very dependable person! I highly recommend this company and the products. They are professional through and through. We are in the midst of a large project and Cyril has been the best contractor to work with in any of the trades.”
