Affordable Shade Patio Covers
Patio Design in Cloverleaf.
Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars12 July 2013
“Affordable Shade did an outstanding job of adding a covered patio to our home, including the cover, the stamped and stained concrete patio and the screen enclosure. We selected Affordable Shade because they made the patio cover an extension of our existing home instad of merely an add-on. The crews were professional, conscientious and paid attention to the details. We couldn't be happier with the result.”

“We were very impressed with their professional approach to the project. They quoted a price and brought the project to a finish as quoted. But most important, all projects have unknowns and the personnel at Texas Custom Patios managed the unforeseen completely to our satisfaction. They earned our trust and are deserving of our recommendation.”

Allied Outdoor Solutions

Average rating: 5 out of 5 stars28 July 2013
“Invited several outdoor paving companies to my home to review options of carved/stamped concrete versus pavers. Allied explained everything the best and presented my options in a way my wife and I understood. We made the decision to go with pavers and a few weeks later the crew arrived to knock it out. The foundation work they did was far above and beyond my expectations. A year later it still looks as good as new and we are very happy with the work.”

UBI BACKYARDS

“Having now completed my UBI Backyards project I feel that I need to take a moment to express my satisfaction and appreciation. Building the pool and backyard of my dreams would not have happened had it not been for Scott & UBI Backyards. His experience in everything from the initial design to the final finishing touches were essential to the process. We went thru about 4 or 5 design changes before I settled on the final design, Scott was extremely patient with me and helped to incorporate my ideas for my pool in a safe, cost effective and inspired manner. Building a pool is a multi step process and things must be done in a certain order. Scott helped to schedule the Gunite crew and we scheduled the excavators, steel crew and plumber off that date, the rest of the scheduling was handled by me. I had the pool equipment delivered but chose to go and pick up the tile and coping to save on costs. Scott came out to help me supervise for the first contractors (excavators) visit so I would feel comfortable. I had lots of questions and it was interesting to watch my yard get dug up in such an effective manner. We ran into a small snag ( the septic line) and they dig crew put in a temporary line before they left. For the next few contractors things went as planned and I supervised their work on my own. I must have called Scott over 20 times often at 7 in the morning with questions, he was kind, informative and patient with me each and every phone call. Scott came out just before the plaster crew to check for any issues as well. After the plaster went in and we filled the pool Scott arranged for the representative from Hayward (the maker of my pump, filter, heater and controller) to come out, set up and walk me thru the system. My total time from dig to swim was between 30 to 40 days. The best part about UBI Backyards was being able to afford options that I would never have been able to afford if I had used a traditional pool builder, I built an $90,000 pool for just over $50,000. A few “Pro Tips” : *Get a roll off dumpster or a Bag dumpster from home Depot because the contractors love to make a mess, consider budgeting some money for a “Clean up Crew” to come out a time or two. *Check all your tile / plaster / coping choices & costs over carefully and SEE THEM IN PERSON, my costs went up from my estimate because after seeing the tile and plaster in person I decided I wanted glass tile and also upgraded to Wet Edge Satin Matrix finish, which I love ! *Plan to take time off to supervise the contractors; this is especially important for the gunite installation and the plaster as these are the most difficult steps to correct errors in. *Make sure you get exactly what you want. It’s a big investment and the finished project should be nothing short of perfect. I’m a satisfied customer and would recommend UBI Backyards for anyone with initiative and drive that is looking for a way to save money on a pool or other backyard project! Feel free to hit me up and you can come take a look at my completed project!”
