Laura is a fantastic designer!! Laura focuses on how and why something works in a room. She designs with purpose. Her design aesthetic is universally pleasing, yet she honors what we want a room to feel like. Laura guides us in the right direction considering scale, different fabrics, and even provides drawings. We hired Laura for one project and she has now remodeled or touched every room in our house! She is easy to work with and communicative. She is direct and confident working with our contractor. We have added tremendous value to our home working with Laura! She is professional and always comes prepared. I trust her style! We highly recommend Laura Abrams Design!

Working with Laura Abrams has been amazing! We had the pleasure of working with her on our full house remodel, and then again on furnishings for our home. Laura is always pleasant, professional, attentive, creative. and prompt. I love her sense of style and occasionally when I felt overwhelmed by the choices, I was able to let go and have Laura make the decision and I knew it would be the right one for my home. My husband and I are so happy with the new furniture recently, and how everything has come together. Laura created a design that gives a wonderful sense of calm in my home that I very much appreciate. Thank you, Laura, for creating a home we really love. We will definitely be working with Laura again in the future.

We spoke on the phone, I put down a large retainer / deposit and we met. It was a nice presentation but when we contacted her regarding a few selections, she told me over the phone that she was not the right designer for us, terminated the relationship and kept the entire retainer. Clearly work went into the initial presentation but we were surprised to spend almost $2k and to be "dismissed" without any offer to return a portion of the retainer.

Hi Catherine,
It was a pleasure to meet you and your husband. With all projects, I start with a floor plan which I emailed to you in May 2020 including several options to reconfigure your bathroom. When we met in person in June 2020, your presentation included floor plan drawings, colored elevations, selections for fixtures and mirrors, and several material samples based on your Pinterest boards. The deposit was for 10 hours of design which I exceeded in time spent in design and presentation therefore there was no remaining design time to return.
After our meeting, you and husband changed direction and made new selections and asked if I would still help with other details of the project. I suggested we part ways as it seemed you were more in need of a project manager to execute your own design at this point than an interior designer moving forward. I also did not bill you for the additional time I spent above and beyond the agreed upon amount.
While I strive for excellence with each project, I realize I may not be the right fit for everyone.
I am always appreciative of feedback and continue to hone my process.

I am so grateful for Laura! Her design style is exactly what my husband and I were looking for when we first moved to our new home in Point Loma. She patiently took us shopping to pick the right furniture and accessories for the challenging spaces. Laura listened to my ideas and directed me to exactly what I wanted. I appreciate her honesty and thoughtfulness and will certainly continue to use her in the future. Our home is beautiful and is all thanks to Laura's great style!

Laura is a delight to work with. She understood my style and worked hard to create beautiful spaces for our entire home. We did a kitchen/laundry/family room remodel as well as all our bathrooms which meant I had a lot of decisions to make. She made it easy for me by breaking projects into smaller parts and pulling samples to narrow down my choices drawing on her expertise and her understanding of my taste. I will definitely use Laura again in the future.

Laura is a talented, enthusiastic and organizer designer. Anything you ask of her she is able to accomplish to perfection. She can work within a variety of budgets and styles. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
